and Designers for many years have concerns and
reservations of possible sediment and silt build
up in the system over time and the lack of ability
of these Modular systems to be “flushed out” or
have linier access for cleaning and maintenance.
The new Rainsmart Tank Module Range incorporates
a unique 165mm pre-molded cut out in its “Inspection
panels” which provides a complete linier access
to the underground Stormwater Structure for maintenance
and flush-out.
These pre-molded panels make on site assembly
much easy, without any cutting or penetration
problems of the plate, unlike other systems. The
main feature of these pre-molded panels is that
it doesn't compromise the strength of the tank
Modules whilst it provides total linier access.
Open Channels, kerb and gutter systems are widely
used in urban landscapes even though considered
unsafe as main method of transporting large quantities
of storm water into rivers and streams. These
systems are also breeding grounds of vermin and
other parasites that endanger human health. In
addition to the health and safety problems these
systems are expensive to install and have a high
ongoing maintenance costs.
Rainsmart Ecological roads and subterranean channel
systems are based on the principle of permeable
subsurface waterways that restore water quality.
The subsurface channel system channels system
provides a unique way of working with nature to
solve the enormous problems currently associated
with open concrete channels and existing road
drainage system.
The Rainsmart Sub-Surface system can be designed
to follow the inherent contours of the landforms
and emulates the flow of natural waterways. The
curvilinear channel design creates a low flow,
vortex turbulence, and reduces the overall flow
while providing enough treatment time and self
cleaning capabilities of the channel bed to create
healthy aerobic conditions, the clear access channels
allow for continual and future maintenance and
provides total linear access.
