The Rainsmart Septic System is
designed to replace gravel and pipe based leach
drains systems. The Rainsmart Ellipse Septic System
has 95% void surface ratio which means it’s over
three times more efficient in leaching and do
not have any traditional clogging issues.
Rainsmart Septic System is comprised of Ellipse
Tank Module connected in series. The Lightweight
modules are assembled on site and positioned in
the excavated trench. The module are wrapped from
the sides and top in Hydronet filter fabric. A
inlet pipe carrying the effluent is connected
to the top of the first module using a 90o elbow.
The system is then is backfilled with coarse permeable
material on the side and top.
Rainsmart Septic System is strong and durable,
and can be installed under trafficable surface,
to maximize available site space, a minimum 300mm
top cover is required for non-traffic and 500-600mm
of top cover is required when installed under
trafficable area
The design of the Septic drain field is determined
by the size of the dwelling that it serves and
the soil conditions. The soil conditions need
to be tested by a percolation test or perc. test.
An engineer or licensed designer may be required
to work with the local governing agency criteria’s
to design a system.
When a Septic tank is used in combination with
a Bio-filter using the 30mm Nero Cell the height
and contact area of the leach field can be reduced.
This technology allows higher density residential
construction, minimal site disturbance; it offers
more usable land for trees or swimming pools or
gardens.
